[Wedge100BF-series] PSU Follow
Purpose:
This is the troubleshooting guide for the PSU on Wedge100BF-series.
Model:
- DCS800 - Wedge100BF-32X
- DCS801 - Wedge100BF-32QS
- DCS802 - Wedge100BF-65X
Procedure:
Step 0. Make sure the power source and power cord are fine.
Step 1. Specify the problem is on PSU or PSU slot
When plug-in the power, both of the AC LED(upper) and DC LED(lower) shall be Green if it work well. When no power plug-in only insert the PSU to switch(another PSU already power on), the LED should be AC LED off and DC LED Amber.
[Note] PSU model PFE600-12-054NA keeps AC LED off and DC LED Amber, model PFE1100-12-054NA become both LED off after a few seconds.
If the power plug-in but AC LED off and DC LED Amber or both LED off, the PSU might be defective.
Use Cross Comparison tests to judge which has the problem, PSU or PSU slot.
Swap PSU1 and PSU2, or prepare another switch with same model(Wedge100BF-series) and PSU module to do the Cross Comparison tests.
According to the result, decide to run the RMA process with only specific PSU or switch.
Step 2. Dump the PSU status
Method 1. Use "sensors" command to dump the log to us.
Caution: PSU-7:0x59 is PSU2 and PSU-7:0x5A is PSU1.
