AS7326-56X / AS7726-32X - FAN Failure Follow
Model :
AS7326-56X / AS7726-32X
Procedure :
Step-1 Please power cycle to the ACCTON-DIAG for troubleshooting
Step-2 Check the system LED of the FAN
The following figure is the system LED location for the AS7326-56X.
The following figure is the system LED location for the AS7726-32X.
The following table is the LED definition of the system fan for the AS7326-56X / AS7726-32X.
Color | FAN status |
Green | System FAN operating normally. |
Amber | Fan tray present but system FAN is a fault. |
OFF | System OFF |
If fan led shows amber, please check all fan modules whether inserted the switch.
If yes, please refer to steps 3~5 for debugging.
Step-3 Identify the fan number
The following figure is an AS7326-56X schematic diagram of FANs.
AS7326-56X has six fan modules.
The following figure is an AS7726-32X schematic diagram of FANs.
AS7726-32X has 4 fan modules.
Step-4 Check the rear panel LED of the fan module
Each fan module also has a LED on the rear panel, and LEDs are light in green color if it is in a normal state.
We can check whether it is the fan slot failure or fan module failure via the rear panel fan LED.
Please take the current failure fan and insert it into the adjacent fan slot.
- If the LED is green, then it is the fan slot failure.
- If the LED is red, then it is the fan module failure.
Both of the above situations are considered hardware failures, please refer to the RMA repair
service for the next process.
Step-5 Enter the command to check fan status on ACCTON-DIAG
The AS7326-56X / AS7726-32X have two kinds of fan modules with different airflow directions, one is
the F2B (front to back) another one is B2F (back to front).
There are two ways to identify the airflows of the switch.
The first way is the check the fan module of the lever color.
- The fan module of the red lever is front to back.
- The fan module of the blue lever is back to front.
So please check the airflows first then execute the correct command.
The second way is to check the model name of the switch.
Login to the ONIE then executes onie-syseeprom to check.
For the below example model name is 7726-32X-O-AC-F and -F is front to back.
In other words, if show the -B, i.e back to front.
