AS7326-56X / AS7726-32X - The switch has rebooted unexpectedly Follow
Purpose :
This article shows the step for taking care of the "rebooted unexpectedly" issue.
Model :
AS7326-56X / AS7726-32X
Symptom :
The switch randomly encounters an unexpected reboot.
Procedure :
Step-1 Please make sure the switch whether reboot by the NOS(Networking Operating system)
Usually, the Linux system will have "/var/log/dmesg" and "/var/log/messages"...etc to record the system
activity. You can check system logs or consult with NOS vendor.
If the system is not rebooted by the NOS, please process the next steps.
Step-2 Check the current BIOS version
Execute "dmidecode -t bios" to check the BIOS version.

Step-3 Upgrade the BIOS to the latest version
Since the Intel Broadwell-DE Xeon D-1518 CPU has some known issues related to the C-state function.[1]
Therefore we will recommend upgrading the BIOS to the latest version first.
AS7326-56X BIOS v36.01.00.00 and AS7726-32X BIOS v36.01.00.00 enabled the C-state by default.
Regarding the AS7326-56X, please upgrade the BIOS version to v40.01.01.01 or above version.
It will disable the CPU C-state in the BIOS setup menu by default.

After upgrading, please check the current CPU C-state setting from the BIOS menu.
- Go to the "IntelRCSetup" section and select the "Advanced Power Management Configuration".
- Select the CPU C State Control.
- Check if CPU C-states are disabled by default.
