Edgecore Wirless Controller supports integration with property management systems (PMS), such as Oracle MICROS Opera, for hotels to effortlessly create on-demand Wi-Fi accounts based on guest information from the PMS once guests have checked in. For example, on-demand Wi-Fi accounts with the guest’s room number as the username and the guest’s last name as the password can be generated.
- Figure 1:
Figure 1 shows how the Edgecore Wirless Controller and PMS can "talk" with each other to create on-demand Wi-Fi accounts and provide Wi-Fi access when a guest checks into a hotel.

The login flow for checked-in guests is shown in Figure 2 below.

Network administrators can optionally choose to use Port Location Mapping (PLM) alongside the PMS integration to create room number-VLAN-Service Zone mapping, so that each room can have a unique VLAN ID, and different rooms (VLAN IDs) can be mapped to the same Service Zone or different Service Zones. In Figure 3, each of the three rooms — Room 501, 502 and 503 — has been assigned a unique VLAN ID through PLM, and these VLANs will all be mapped to the same Service Zone — Guest-SZ.
