[ECIS4500] How to configure the MVR function? Follow
Topology:
Purpose:
The client A can receive the multicast stream of range 224.1.1.1-5 on VLAN 20.
The client B can receive the multicast stream of range 224.1.1.6-10 on VLAN 30.
ECIS4500 configuration procedures:
Step 1: Configure MVR "Profile Name".
Configuration -> IPMC Profile -> Profile Table
Step 2: Configure multicast "Start Address" and "End Address" of MVR profile.
Configuration -> IPMC Profile -> Address Entry
Step 3: Then we need to specify the rule (permit/deny) for profile "20".
Configuration -> IPMC Profile -> Profile Table
Step 4: Configure MVR Rule. The action is "Permit" for profile 20.
Step 5: Then we need to specify the rule (permit/deny) for profile "30".
Configuration -> IPMC Profile -> Profile Table
Step 6: Configure MVR Rule. The action is "Permit" for profile 30.
Step 7: Enable MVR function, and then configure MVR domain, specify MVR source port and receiver port.
Step 7: Disable the Unregistered IPMCv4 Flooding Enable.
Step 8: Configure the VLAN.
Port 1 and Port 3 are hybrid mode. Port 2 is Trunk port.
Result:
The client A and client B can receive the specific multicast stream. And administrator can check the MVR member port at "MVR Channel Groups" page.
